Rose Hips Roses
Bottle roses include roses that can actually be found in any product group roses. The most well-known are the Rosa Rugosa roses ( Japanese wrinkle rose ) Rosa canina ( dog rose ) and Rosa rubiginosa ( hedgehog lantern ). However, there are also stunning specimens available in the more cultivated varieties that make beautiful hips.
Bottle roses are strong plants that are easy to maintain. They thrive in almost all soil types as long as they are not too wet or too acidic. As with all roses, bottled roses also like a sunny position. Bottles arise from the flowers; it is advisable not to prune the roses back after the first or second flowering. This ensures that hips can form which will decorate your garden and terrace until well into autumn and winter. The hips are also an important source of food, especially for birds.
